Applications are invited for an appointment as 0.4FTE Lecturer in Law at University of Galway, Ireland. This is a Specific contract post (circa 12 months).

This postholder will make a fundamental contribution to the development and innovative teaching and learning, research, and external engagement of the School.

The postholder will be expected to deliver undergraduate teaching within the areas of Administrative Law, Tort Law and Labour Law.

To support the School’s mission to establish a reputation for excellence through enhancing teaching and learning, the postholder will build both internal and external partnerships and collaborations. As well as building collaborative partnerships internally with other related disciplines, the postholder will network across the legal and business communities to enhance and further develop the reputation of the University in this field of study.

Interviews: Interviews will be scheduled for Wednesday 2nd August. As part of the process, candidates will be asked to give a 10 minutes presentation as outlined below.
Presentation: Choose a topic from Administrative Law or Tort Law and deliver a ten-minute introduction on it as if you were introducing the topic in an undergraduate lecture. (10 mins) The presentation will be followed by up to 5 minutes of questions.
Start Date: This contract will commence on 26th August 2023. Academic teaching starts on the week commencing 4th September 2023.

Salary:
€ 58,917 to € 93,991 p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer scale in line with current Government pay policy)
