Research Associate in Cell Biology for Department of Biology, Discovery Biology China, Novo Nordisk
Job description:
We are seeking an experienced research associate to work in the Department of Discovery In Vitro Biology, Discovery Biology China, located in Beijing. You will be part of a highly motivated team and will provide in vitro biology support to drive drug discovery and pipeline development at Novo Nordisk.
Responsibilities:
This Position requires hands-on bench work with the mentorship of a scientist. The position will be part of a team responsible for
- State of art, human centric in vitro bioassay development (phenotypic readouts, throughput qPCR, high content imaging, surefire assay, luciferase assay, proliferation assay, FACS, etc.)
- Human primary cells, ES cells and organoids culture
- Throughput assay support for target validation in cardio-metabolic diseases
- Documenting experiments and performing timely data analysis
Qualifications:
- A bachelor degree in medical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, biology, biotechnology, or relevant disciplines. Master degree is preferred.
- Extensive hands on experiences on molecular biology, cell biology and in vitro cell assays is a must, as this position is expected to be filled with an experienced applicant
- Industrial experiences in a R&D organization is a plus
- Experience in stem cell culture, and or pancreatic beta cell culture is a strong plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A great collaborator and team player
- A fast learner
