Job Description
Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver
Soltec (Ireland) Limited is an expanding environmental services provider based in Mullingar, Co Westmeath. We specialise in
- the collection and recycling of solvents and hazardous waste, and
- the manufacture of paint thinners and hand-sanitiser.
We now wish to recruit a Warehouse and Production Operative for our facility . The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a warehouse and/ or production environment and will be a qualified forklift driver. Working as part of an experienced team, duties will include:
1. Driving forklifts, loading / unloading vehicles and operating within busy warehouse storage facility.
2. Receiving, recording and correctly storing all incoming packaging, waste and related supplies.
3. Tracking and location of all items using a computerised stock control system.
4. Sorting, processing, repackaging, bulking and labelling of waste as required for shipment onwards for disposal.
5. Assisting with the preparation / checking outgoing loads to ensure full compliance with transport regulations for hazardous waste.
6. Assisting with the efficient processing of all documentation associated with movement of waste, product and supplies through the warehouses.
7. Compliance with safety procedures and instructions in order to ensure a safe workplace for all.
8. Maintain and orderly and tidy warehouse to facilitate an efficient and safe operation.
9. Sampling and transfers of solvents as required
Other related tasks may be assigned from time to time.
Attention to detail, accuracy and good communication skills are very important for this role.
There will be opportunities to train further and to advance within the company for the right candidate.
40 hour week. Hours of Work: 07:30am to 16:30pm
20 days annual holiday.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: €13.00-€16.00 per hour
